Wines of Germany’s 2020 Trade and Media event is going digital! This week and next, we’re hosting German Wine From Home, a multi-event virtual series featuring exciting hosts and special guests for trade & media to sip along with as they learn more about the world of German wines. We’re partnering with a number of sommeliers, winemakers, and even the new German Wine Queen for the palate-pleasing virtual sessions below:  

Germany’s Riesling Revolution 

Wednesday, October 14 at 1pm ET

We’ll revisit the remarkable history of German Riesling and its promising future with a discussion and tasting featuring wines and winemakers from Germany’s Generation Riesling organization and led by Master Sommelier Laura Williamson.

Vino Vinyasa Yoga & The Superwomen of Sekt

Friday, October 16 at 1pm ET

Vino Vinyasa founder Morgan Perry and the recently-crowned German Wine Queen Eva Lanzerath will meet attendees on the mat for a virtual yoga class, followed by a tasting of Germany’s Superwomen of Sekt – a selection of German sparkling wines made exclusively by women.

You Had Me At Pinot

Wednesday, October 21 at 1pm ET

Media & trade will fall head over heels for Germany’s Pinot trio (Weissburgunder, Grauburgunder, and Spätburgunder), as Wines of Germany’s D.C. Ambassador Brent Kroll and his Maxwell Park counterpart Niki Lang dive deep into these three beloved grape varieties. 

Shaken or Stirred: Mixing Up A Cocktail Party with German Wine

Thursday, October 22 at 5pm ET

Attendees will have their taste buds tickled with German wine cocktails during a hands-on cocktail party hosting & mixology class led by Sommelier and Entertaining Expert Sarah Tracey.

Corks & Forks: Pairing German Wine with Food Favorites

Friday, October 23 at 2pm ET

Food delivery will never be the same after Wines of Germany’s Ambassadors Amy Waller & Chris Poldoian share their thoughts on how to pair German wines with a variety of regional cuisines.
