Short Film from Rheingau Tourism Board Encourages Travelers & Locals to Rediscover The Region

Florian grew up in the Rheingau but now lives in Berlin. In a new short film from the Rheingau-Taunus Culture and Tourism Association, Florian takes you on a journey through his home region – with dry humor, honest observations plenty of unexpected moments.

“Nothing ever happens here.”

“It’s kind of a comfort zone.”

“Wine? Yeah, I like wine.”

Yet he keeps coming back and shows up at an uncanny number of seasons and events. “Yeah, I come by from time to time.”

And as he travels through the Rheingau, from wine festivals and historic landmarks to quiet viewpoints, local traditions and spontaneous encounters, his perspective slowly changes. We hope that, just like Florian, you’ll discover the charm of a region that doesn’t need to be loud to leave a lasting impression.

A region of vineyards, historic towns, riverside views and authentic experiences – located just a short distance from Frankfurt, Mainz and Wiesbaden, right on the banks of the Rhine. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning once again, we hope this film inspires you to explore the Rheingau for yourself.

Welcome to the Rheingau.
