Couchtoberfest: German Wine Virtual Class – July 8th, 2020

Explore the diversity of German wines from the comfort of your couch at a virtual wine class streamed live from Washington, D.C.!

Join Wines of Germany’s D.C. Ambassador Brent Kroll, of the acclaimed Maxwell Park, on Wednesday, July 8th at 7:00pm for a Virtual Wine Class on German wines.

Brent will expand your knowledge of German wines as you sip through electric Rieslings, earthy Silvaner, and fruity Pinot Noir. You’ll journey through Germany’s steep vineyards and diverse terroir, savoring age-worthy wines ranging from bone dry to sweet!

Wines tasted include:

– 2003 Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken, Riesling, Saarburger Rausch Spätlese, Mosel

– 2017 August Kesseler, Riesling, ‘The Daily August’, Rheingau

– 2017 Dr. Heyden, Silvaner, ‘Alte Reben,’ Rheinhessen

– 2015 A. Christmann, Spätburgunder, Pfalz
