Pinot Blanc is a slow-maturing grape with yellowish-green skin that thrives in Germany’s warmer regions with good sun exposure, such as Baden, Rheinhessen, and the Pfalz. The German name, Weissburgunder or Weisser Burgunder, translates to “White Burgundian,” reflecting to the grape’s light skin color and its origins in Burgundy, France.
In Germany, the grapes produce light to medium-bodied wines that showcase delightful citrus and orchard fruits, often alongside a slight nuttiness.
